While all eyes were on the situation in Crimea, the Russian Open Games for LGBT athletes was being systematically harassed in Moscow. Rob from Out to Swim was the only non Russian to turn up for the swimming. Pressure from the authorities forced swimming pools to cancel bookings as organisers scrambled around the city to find alternative venues to no avail and Rob was awarded a gold medal for turning up.
